November 23 An early morning encounter broke out between militants and goverment forces in Sekipora area of Bijbhera in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) district on Friday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a joint team of army's 3RR and Jammu Kashmir Police launched a cordon and search operation in Sekipora around 2 am. During the searches the holed up militants fired upon goverment forces triggering an encounter. SSP Anantnag Altaf Khan told a news agency that contact had been established with militants. "Two to three Militants are trapped in a residential house at Sekipora area and massive exchange of gunfire was on," sourc3s told The Kashmiriyat. Details emerging.

November 20 The Jammu Kashmir Police on Wednesday claimed that the militants killed the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leader in Budroo area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. Police as per a statement said that the militants barged inside the residential house of Hafezullah Mir at Budoora Achabal and fired indiscriminately at him. “In this incident, Hafeezullah sustained critical gunshot wounds and was evacuated to a nearby hospital where he succumbed.” Mir was district president of the pro-freedom organization Tehreek e Hurriyat led by Geelani. November 20 Unknown gunmen shot at a Hurriyat activist in Badoora area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District on Tuesday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Mir Hafizullah of Geelani led Hurriyat was shot at by unknown gunmen in Badoora area of Achabal in Islamabad (Anantnag) District. Hafizullah was shot and later shifted to Jangalat Mandi Hospital in Islamabad for treatment, where the Doctors told The Kashmiriyat that he was brought dead to the hospital. November 17 Sheikh Nadeem On Saturday afternoon, two bears attacked a lady in the Shangus area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District while she was working in her field. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that Nabiza Banoo wife of Mohammed Ibrahim Bhat was working in her orchard when two bears attacked her resulting into grievous injuries to the Lady. The Locals rushed to help and chased away the bears and rushed the injured lady to the nearby hospital. A team of wildlife has reached the spot and caught hold of one bear while they were trying to locate the second one when this report was filed.

November 14 Pro Freedom lawyer, Advocate Fayaz Ahmed Sodagar has been appointed as the President of the bar council of Islamabad (Anantnag) for the sixth time. November 12 A School bus on Monday afternoon while leaving from the school met with an accident In Lidru area of South Kashmir's Pahalgam Area. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a bus of Army Goodwill School, Pahalgam skidded off the road and met with an accident resulting into injuries to seven school students. The Bus accident occurred at Lidru area of Pahalgam in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. The Locals rushed to the spot and rescued the injured students who have been shifted to Pahalgam hospital. November 11 A panchayat ghar set was ablaze by unknown persons at Bul Bul nowgam area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (anantnag) District on Sunday night. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that flames emerged from a panchayat Ghar located in the Bul Bul Nowgam area late on Sunday evening triggering panic in the area. The fire tenders were soon rushed to the spot and are on job to douse off the fire, a Police officials told The Kashmiriyat. Sources said that the building suffered massive damage in the fire and said, "Fire Fighters are on job to bring the fire under control," a Local said. November 11 Sheikh Nadeem/ Waris Shah The dead body of a 30 year old man was found lying at his home under mysterious circumstances at Deesu Locality of Dakusm in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the dead body of Bilal Ahmed Mir son of Abdul Gani Mir was found lying inside his house at Daksum area of South Kashmir on Sunday Morning. "The dead body of Bilal was found lying inside his house, we are still investigating the matter," A Police official told The Kashmiriyat. He said that it was too early to conclude that it was a case of suicide.
