1 Militant Killed as Encounter Rages in Dooru Islamabad

ISLAMABAD
September 27 One Militant has been killed in the ongoing massive exchange of gunfire is on at Damlach of Dooru area in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anatnag) District on Thursday morning. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that the 19 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and 164 BN CRPF are conducting the operation in the area. The Militants as per officials opened fire upon a party of Government Forces during a patrol, triggering a gunfight. As per the initial reports, two to three Militants including are exchanging Gunfire with the Government Forces. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that massive gunfire is on as more troopers are being rushed to the spot. The Authorities have suspended Mobile internet in the Islamabad (Anantnag) District.

Randomization of EVMs for the conduct of Elections-2018 in Islamabad

September 25 According to the District Election Officer Islamabad (Anantnag), the randomization of EVMs to be used for the conduct of Municipal Elections – 2018 in respect of one Municipal Council Anantnag and nine Municipal Committees falling in district Anantnag shall be conducted in the Meeting Hall of Deputy Commissioners’ Office Anantnag In this regard, under phase 1st, the first randomization of EVMs will be held on 29 – 09 – 2018 at 11:00 AM for the Municipal Committees of Achabal, Kokernag and Qazigund., where as second randomization of EVMs for the said committees shall be conducted on 03 – 10 – 2018 at 2:00 PM. Train Crushes Islamabad Youth to Death

September 23 TAWSEEF NAZIR yet another young man was crushed to death by a running train in South Kashmir on Monday morning in Bijbeheara South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Mudasir Ahmed Magray, a resident of Trahpoo in Achabal belt was crushed to death on Monday near Bijbehara area. CASO Launched in Achabal Area of Islamabad District

September 23 The Government Forces on Sunday launched a cordon and search operation in the Sofi Mohallah locality of Achabal in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Sunday, the forces including 19 RR of Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Sofi Mohallah area. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Achabal locality and are conducting a search operation in the area. September 20 WARIS SHAH/ SHEIKH NADEEM Worried about the bad condition Kharpora village Larnoo in the district Islamabad (Anantnag),the residents have appealed the concerned authorities to maintain the roads in the area to avoid agitation. Residents speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that road are in dilapidated condition and due to bad condition of roads the commuters are facing problems. The problem manifolds during rainy season, thus making roads accident prone,a local resident said. The residents accused the authorities for not maintaining the road and showing apathy over this issue. 469.92 Crore disbursed under District Credit Action Plan 2018-19 in Anantnag Islamabad by June end

September 15 District Development Commissioner Islamabad (Anantnag) , Mohammad Younis Malik who is also the chairman of District Level Consultative Cum Committee (DLCC) chaired the meeting of DLRC for the 1 st quarter ending June -2018 here at Dak Bunglow Khanabal to review the progress achieved under District Credit Action Plan – 2018-19.
