Jaish commander who escaped Four Cordons Killed in Kulgam Encounter, Says IGP
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir range Vijay Kumar Friday said that top Jaish-e-Muhammad commander, who was one among the most wanted 12 militant commanders, was killed among two others in an encounter at South Kashmir’s Kulgam. He said the slain Jaish commander has been identified as Waleed Bhai, who was the IED expert and had escaped from the cordon four times so far.
Addressing a press conference at police control room in Srinagar, the IGP said that acting on a tip off, a joint operation was laid at Nagnad village of Damhal-Hanjipora area of Kulgam, three militants were killed that include Waleed Bhat, an IED expert, who was Jaish commander and one among the most wanted 12 commanders, the list of whom was already shared with the media men on July 2.
