Waris Shah Two Militants been killed in the ongoing encounter that broke out between government forces and militants in the Nagnad area of  Czimmer in Damhal Hanjippra belt of Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday morning. An official told The Kashmiriyat that a cordon and search operation (CASO) was launched in the area by a joint team of forces including Army’s 09RR, CRPF and JK police on specific inputs about the presence of militants in the Nagnad area. He said that after trapping the militants, they were asked to surrender, however, they opened fire which was retaliated, this triggering an encounter. A 40-year-old woman drowned to death in Nallah Veshaw at Nagam area of Damhal Hanjipora in South Kashmir's Kulgam district last evening. Sources said that the woman identified as Shamima Banoo, wife of Bashir Ahmad Lone from Nagam was crossing the bridge when she slipped into the Nallah Veshaw. Two Force Personnel of Sema Surkhasa Bal(SSB) Jawans were killed during a fratricide incident at their place of posting at Court Complex Kulgam District. Sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a SSB man resorted to indiscriminate firing from his service rifle at his colleagues, which left two SSB men severely wounded. Superintendent of Police (SP), Gurinder Pal told KNO that two soldiers have died in the fratricide incident at Kulgam. He said that further details are being collected. Clashes erupted as scores of youth hit the streets of Arreh area in Kulgam district of South Kashmir on Saturday evening. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that hundreds of youth from Nilow, MohammedPora, Kachohalan and several adjoining areas hit the streets on Saturday evening as soon as the firing at encounter site stopped. A Court in Kulgam has sentenced a CRPF personnel to life imprisonment for killing three of his colleagues and injuring the fourth critically. The Sessions Judge at Kulgam's District court sentenced a CRPF man to Life for murdering three colleagues on 24 November 2011. The incident happened on 24 December, 2011 when a CRPF man named Sanjay Kumar shot at his three friends, killing them on the spot and injuring one more colleague critically. He was immediately arrested and an FIR Number 271/ 2011 was refistered against him in the Police Station Kulgam, US 307 and 302 of the Ranbir Penal code. On Tuesday, the District court in Kulgam sentenced him to life imprisonment.
