Brother of Five Sisters Arrested in Kulgam

November 15 Zafar Dar A B. Pharma Student, Mudasir Ahmed Itoo son of Ghulam Qadir Itoo who was pursuing B.Phama from a college in Delhi was picked up by Government forces during an nocturnal raid on 8 November. The 18 year old who had come home during  his holidays from the Delhi college was arrested when Government forces raided his house in the Qaimoh locality of South Kashmir's Kulgam district. November 12 Sheikh Nadeem Dilapidated link road from Batagund to Charikadi village of south Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district continues to irk commuters and the pedestrians as the authorities have failed to macadamize the roads despite assurances. Inhabitants living in the areas as well the commuter passing through the roads here while speaking to The Kashmiriyat have demanded immediate redressal of their genuine grievances. Locals said that the road in their area was not macadamized and due to potholes drivers jerking their knees resulting the risk of toppling in these ditches. November 03 The Government Forces despite launching a massive crackdown against Militants in Jammu Kashmir have largely failed to keep a check at the Militant recruitment as more local youth continue to pick up arms. Despite having killed more than 230 Militants the last year, this year Militant recruitment has crossed the highest number in the last ten years as it stands at 175 in the first ten months of 2018. Three Thieves Arrested from Kulgam Area

November 02 Jammu Kashmir police on Friday claimed to have arrested three thieves and recovered stolen property worth lakhs of rupees in south Kashmir district of Kulgam, a police spokesman said. He said a theft case was registered in police station under FIR number 81/2018 and 77/2018 regarding thefts in Quimoh Khudwani in Kulgam. During the investigation police arrested three persons identified as Mohammad Ramzan Sheikh, Adil Ahmad Sheikh and Sajad Ahmad Sheikh, he said adding a toy gun, knife, motorcycles, mobile phones & mobile accessories including batteries, chargers, earphones, covers, wrist watch and other stolen goods were recovered from their possession. Forces Launch Nocturnal CASO in Quimoh Area

October 27 A Massive Cordon and Search has been launched in Gretbal area of Quimoh in South Kashmir's Kulgam District on Saturday Night. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the Forces including 1 Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army, SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF blocked all the entry and exit points to the Quimoh area. A massive cordon and search operation was launched by forces following a specific input about Militant presence in the area. October 27 The CASO launched in Ghat Redwani area of South Kashmir's Kulgam District has been called after nothing was found in the area. The Government forces including 1 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF had laid down the cordon and Search operation jointly. "The Operation was called off after troopers conducted Search Operations for nearly 9 hours, but nothing was found," Sources told The Kashmiriyat. Massive clashes had also erupted in the area.

At least 20 Injured In Clashes- CASO Enters 8th Hour

October 27 At least 20 civilians have been injured during clashes with the Government forces after clashes broke out during a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Redwani area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that youth from nearby areas of Redwani took to streets and clashed with the forces after they launched a CASO in the area, the Forces resorted to intense tear smoke shelling and pellet firing to disperse the protesters, triggering clashes. Locals said that at least twenty people have sustained injuries during the clashes which were going on when reports last came in. October 27 Unknown gunmen on Saturday afternoon kidnapped a civilian from Laroo area in South Kashmir's Kulgam District after barging inside a house in the area. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Sheeraz Ahmed Czak son of Ghulam Mohammed Czak was arrested by gunmen from the Laroo area after they barged inside his house in the Laroo Kulgam area.
