Intense Clashes Erupt in Kulgam Area as Locals Demand Removal of Army Camp

Hundreds of locals including women on Friday afternoon hit the streets of Redwani locality in Quimoh belt of South Kashmir's Kulgam amid pro Independence slogans demanding the removal of Army camp recently established in the locality.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that scores of men and women on Friday afternoon came out on the streets shouting pro independence and Anti India slogans to demand the removal of an Army camp of 1RR of Indian Army recently set up in Redwani Bala.
However the Police soon reached the spot and fired tear smoke shells on the protesting civilians, which resulted in intense clashes as youth gathered in large numbers and threw stones on the troopers deployed in the area.
