July 17 Massive clashes have erupted during a Cordon and search operation in Astan Mohallah of Quimoh area in South Kashmir's Kulgam District on Tuesday. The Government forces have launched a siege around the area post which scores of youth shouting pro freedom slogans hit the streets. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 1 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF laid down the Search operation jointly. "The Operation was launched after troopers received a specific input about Militant movement in the area," Sources said. A Door to door search operation has been launched in the area.

July 16 One person was critically wounded in a tyre blast at Damhal Hanjipora Area of South Kashmir's Kulgam district late night on Monday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the tyre blast created panic in the area and many locals ran for cover after the blast sound. July 15 An Anti militancy Cordon and Search operation has been launched at Laram Ganjipora of Wanpoh area of South Kashmir's Kulgam District on Sunday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 1st RR of Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir police jointly launched the cordon and search operation in the locality. July 01 Suspected Militants on Friday attacked Jammu Kashmir Police post in Yaipora area of South Kashmir's Kulgam District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that unidentified gunmen opened fire on the Police station in the area, however nobody was injured in the attack. The Police confirming the attack said that the alert sentry guard fired some shots in the area to retaliate the possible attack, The area was immediately cordoned off. Details Emerging.  

July 11 A Few gunshots were heard during a Cordon and Search Operation launched in Tulinowpora area of South Kashmir's Kulgam District. Earlier, Following specific input about Militant movement in Tuli Nowpora area of Kulgam, the government forces had laid a siege in the area. The Anti Militancy cordon and search operation is being jointly conducted by RR of Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir police. The troops have initiated a search operation post blocking all the entry and exit points to the Tuli Nowpora area. The search operation was going on when this report was filed.

July 10 Intense Stone throwing Clashes erupted in Laroo, Kulgam Town, Devsar areas of Kulgam District on Tuesday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that scores of youth shouting pro Freedom and Pro Islam Slogans came out on the streets in the areas. Pertinently Kulgam is observing shutdown for the fourth straight day against the killing of three civilians including a teenage girl by Forces on Saturday. The protesters threw stones on Forces deployed in the areas resulting in clashes. The Clashes were going on when this report was filed.

July 10 The Government Forces on Tuesday have launched a cordon and search operation in Kulan, Yaripora area of South Kashmir's Kulgam District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 9RR of Indian Army, jammu Kashmir police has jointly launched the operation. The anti militancy operation has been launched following a specific input about Militant movement in the area. A door to door search operation is being conducted by the forces after all the entry and exit points were sealed, a local told The Kashmiriyat. Details emerging.

July 07 Militants on Saturday appeared in Redwani area of South Kashmir's Kulgam District and offered Gun salute to the slain civilians, eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat. Eyewitnesses said that militants in a group of five to seven appeared in Redwani and fired in the air to offer gun salute to the slain civilians. Three youth including a 16 year old girl who were shot dead by Government Forces hailed from the Redwani area and their dead bodies have reached home. The youth were killed when Government Forces laid a siege around the Hawoora area and Youth in large numbers hit the streets pelting stones on Government Forces.

July 07 One civilian has been critically injured during clashes at Hawoora area of South Kashmir's Kulgam district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Government Forces entered the area to lay a siege around the Hawoora area. However youth in large numbers came out on the streets and hurled stone on the vehicles of Government Forces who responded with massive tear smoke shelling. As per reports, one youth has been critically wounded during the ongoing clashes which erupted half an hour ago. Police officials told The Kashmiriyat that it was a normal search operation when some youth came out on the streets and tried to disrupt the operation. Details emerging.

July 06 A Constable of J&K Police who was abducted by unidentified gunmen from his home in Vehil Kachdoora Shopain was now found dead. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that his dead body found in Pariwan area of South Kashmir's kulgam district early morning on Friday. Identified as Javaid Ahmed Dar, he was kidnapped by unidentified gunmen from his house in the shopian area. The Government Forces had launched massive manhunt to find Javaid, but to no success as his dead body has been found.
