Cloudburst Causes Damage in Kokernag Belt- MLA Asks for Compensation

July 29 There have been incidents of cloud bursts at many places in Kokernag area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) district during the past few days, causing a lot of damage to agriculture and threat to the public lives. The areas that have suffered in the past few days include, Mathindoo, Rein-Arther, Guridraman, Ahlan Gadol, wandewalgam, Zalangam, Bindoo, Kokernag. There has been a lot of damage to crops and plantations and the flash floods have also caused errosion to the land and damaged few residential structures. The MLA of Kokernag, Abdul Rahim Rather, has asked the district administration to have an assessment of loss and prepare and forward the cases to they government for compensation of the sufferers. July 29 A CRPF man was fired at by suspected Militants in Naira area of Tahab in South Kashmir's Pulwama District late night on Sunday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a CRPF man identified as Naseer Ahmad who was on a leave was shot at and injured by unknown persons at his native Naira area. Massive CASO Underway in Daramdora Shopian

July 29 The Government forces laid down a Cordon and search operation in area Daramdora Keegam of South Kashmir's Shopian District on Sunday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 44RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF laid down the Search operation jointly.
