Forces Launch CASO in Pulwama, Intense Stone Pelting Begins

July 28 Massive Clashes erupted during a CASO launched in Bellow area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District. The Government forces laid down a Cordon and search operation in area Bellow area  on Saturday afternoon. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 55 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF laid down the Search operation jointly. "The Operation was launched after troopers received a specific input about Militant movement in the area," Sources said. Hundreds of youth hit the streets when the Anti Militancy operation was launched and threw stones on troops amid intense pro Freedom sloganeering. Meanwhile A Door to door search operation has been launched in the area. The clashes were going on when this report was filed.

July 28 Despite repeated verbal attempts of the Director General of Jammu Kashmir Police, SP vaid, Militancy is showing no signs of declination. In fact the Army General of India has been constantly asking the local Kashmiri youth to give up arms and asking people to keep their wards away from militancy. Pulwama MBA Pass out has Likely Joined Militancy

July 28 A youth namely Ishfaq Ahmad wani son of late Mohammad yousuf wani resident of Koil village of Pulwama district is missing from last seven days and his family is afraid that he might have joined militant ranks. Ishfaq an MBA pass out from Baba Gulam shah Badshah university Rajouri has left his home on 20th of this month and since then he is untraceable,  one of his family member told The Kashmiriyat. July 27 The Government Forces on Friday Night launched a search operation in Srandoo area of South Kashmir's Kulgam District. Local Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Government Forces including RR of Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir Police are frisking vehicles and have also searched some locals in the area. Brother of Militant who escaped from Prison Rearrested

July 27 Brother of Slain Militant Nisar Ahmed Wani who had escaped from the Police custody has been arrested again on Friday in Shopian District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Nisar Ahmed Wani was arrested by Jammu Kashmir Police in Shopian of South Kashmir. Suhail Ahmad Wani of Heff Shopian who was apprehended by SOG Zainpora on July 15, 2018, and escaped from their custody on July 25, 2018 was rearrested on Friday afternoon.

Suspected Militant Decamp with a Rifle in Shopian

July 27 Suspected Militants on Friday attacked a guard of Jammu Kashmir Bank in Shopian District and decamped with a rifle. A police Source told The Kashmiriyat that militants attacked a the guard of JKB in Shopian town and decamped with the service rifle of the bank guard. 5 Arrested During Nocturnal Raids in Shopian Area

July 27 At least five persons have been arrested during nocturnal raids in Dreed Kalipora area of south Kashmir's Shopian district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that government forces detained five persons from their homes during raids late night on Thursday. The locals identified the arrested youth as Jahangir Ahmad Mir, Rayees Ahmad Mir, Shahnawaz Ahmad Mir, Saleem Yousuf Bhat and Javid Ahmad Malik. Son of PDP MLA occupies Masjid Land, Dooru People Demand Action

July 27 Hundreds of people on Friday protested against the illegal accusation of Auqaf land by the son of the ex PDP vice president, Sartaj Madani. Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that people holding the placards, "Put Sartaj Madani Behind Bars" started marching from Dooru Jamia Masjid and demanded punishment against the "illegal occupation" of Auqaf land by a son of Madni identified as Aroot. The President of Auqaf committee Masood Bodha while speaking to The Kashmiriyat alleged that Aroot has illegally occupied the Masjid land. "Today we have protested against the illegal occupation of the land to press for the demand that they leave the Masjid land," he said.
