CASO Launched in 5 Villages of Pulwama

July  27 A Cordon and Search operation has been launched at five villages of South kashmir's Pulwama District on Friday afternoon. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 55 RR of Indian, Army and Jammu Kashmir police jointly launched the cordon and search operation in the Puchal, Ratnipora, Wandhakpora, Hanjipora and Gulbagh areas. Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces have launched a CASO  in the area. A Local told The Kashmiriyat that the search operation is still going on as hundreds of troopers are conducting a door to door search operation. Details emerging.  

Suspected Militant Decamp with a Rifle in Shopian

July 27 Suspected Militants on Friday attacked a guard of Jammu Kashmir Bank in Shopian District and decamped with a rifle. A police Source told The Kashmiriyat that militants attacked a the guard of JKB in Shopian town and decamped with the service rifle of the bank guard. Initial reports available said that Police has reached on spot and a search operation has been launched to nab the attackers. Details emerging.

5 Arrested During Nocturnal Raids in Shopian Area

July 27 At least five persons have been arrested during nocturnal raids in Dreed Kalipora area of south Kashmir's Shopian district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that government forces detained five persons from their homes during raids late night on Thursday. The locals identified the arrested youth as Jahangir Ahmad Mir, Rayees Ahmad Mir, Shahnawaz Ahmad Mir, Saleem Yousuf Bhat and Javid Ahmad Malik. Son of PDP MLA occupies Masjid Land, Dooru People Demand Action

July 27 Hundreds of people on Friday protested against the illegal accusation of Auqaf land by the son of the ex PDP vice president, Sartaj Madani. Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that people holding the placards, "Put Sartaj Madani Behind Bars" started marching from Dooru Jamia Masjid and demanded punishment against the "illegal occupation" of Auqaf land by a son of Madni identified as Aroot. The President of Auqaf committee Masood Bodha while speaking to The Kashmiriyat alleged that Aroot has illegally occupied the Masjid land. "Today we have protested against the illegal occupation of the land to press for the demand that they leave the Masjid land," he said. Stone Throwing Clashes at Dialgam, Lal Chowk in Islamabad (Anantnag)

July 26 Intense Clashes have erupted in Dialgam and Lal chowk area of  Islamabad township of South Kashmir on Thursday evening. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that hundreds of youth shouting pro Freedom and pro Islam slogans threw stones on Government Forces deployed in the areas. The Forces fired tear smoke shells to disperse the protesting youth, however the clashes were going on when this report was filed.

IED Detected in Tral Area

July 26 The Government Forces today claimed to have averted a major tragedy after they detected an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by militants in Handoora area of the Tral in South Kashmir. Officials said that the IED was planted on Handoora to Tral road and Bomb Defusal Squad of Jammu Kashmir Police, Army and CRPF is on job to defuse the IED. Details Emerging.

3 including an Elderly Man arrested During Nocturnal Raids in Shopian

July 26 At least three persons have been arrested during nocturnal raids in Harmain area of south Kashmir's Shopian district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that government forces two youth and an elderly person from their homes late night on Wednesday. The detained have been identified as Aijaz Ahmad thoker aged 18 of Bhat Mohalla, Adil Ahmad Kumar 20 from Kral Mohalla and Abdul Rashid Ganai 50 of Ganai Mohalla in Harmain, Shopian. Police Officials told The Kashmiriyat that the youth have been arrested in connection with stone throwing in the area.

Update: 5 CRPF men Injured- Massive Search operation Underway

ISLAMABAD
July 26 Suspected Militants hurled a grenade on a CRPF patrol near Goriwan area in Bijbehara of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) district on Thursday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that militants hurled a grenade on a party of 90 BN of CRPF men deployed on highway near Goriwan in which five CRPF men received injuries. The CRPF troops were rushed to the nearby Sub District hospital after which troops immediately laid down a siege around the area. Hospital sources confirmed the identity of injured as Pankaj Kumar, Nitin Kumar, B Kumar, Ominder Singh and Yoginder Singh. The operation was launched to nab the attackers, Officials told The Kashmiriyat.
