Massive Search Operations Begin in Jhelum to Trace Drowned Islamabad Boy

July 24 The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has constituted a Marcos team to trace out the boy who drowned in river Jhelum on Tuesday afternoon. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Sahir Rashid Trumboo aged 09, a resident of Monawarabad, Khayam drowned while taking bath in the Jhelum river near Nathpora, Khanbal area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. The other two boys accompanying him tried to help him, but to no avail and soon when it came to the notice of his relatives in nathpora area they tried to look for him, but all in vain. Massive CASO launched in Shopian Area

July  24 A Cordon and Search operation has been launched at Dugpora area of South Kashmir's Shopian District on Tuesday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 44 RR of Indian, Army and Jammu Kashmir police jointly launched the cordon and search operation in the locality. Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces have launched a CASO  in the area. A Local told The Kashmiriyat that the search operation is still going on as hundreds of troopers are conducting a door to door search operation. Details emerging.

July  23 A Cordon and Search operation has been launched at Mir Maidan in Dooru area of South Kashmir's Islmabad (Anantnag) District on Monday night. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 19 RR of Indian, 164 Battalion of CRPF and Army and Jammu Kashmir police jointly launched the cordon and search operation in the locality. Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces have launched a CASO  in the area. Aerial Firing to disperse Protesters During CASO in Harmain Shopian

July 23 Aerial firing and intense tear smoke shelling was used upon protesters in Harmain area of South Kashmir's Shopian District on Monday afternoon. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that massive stone throwing clashes erupted after forces launched a CASO in the Harmain area. ALSO READ: Massive Door to Door Search Operation at Harmian Shopian Hundreds of youth hit the streets shouting pro Freedom and Pro Islam slogans throwing stones on troopers who entered the village to conduct the Cordon and Search operation there. The Troopers fired in the air to disperse the protesters, however the clashes were going on when this report was filed.

6 Hour Long CASO Ends at Khudwani, Nothing Found

July 23 The Cordon and Search Operation launched by Government Forces in Wani Mohallah and later extended to Lone Mohallah in Khudwani area of Kulgam in South Kashmir has ended just now. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that the CASO that had been launched by 1 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police has been called off after nothing was found in the area. Massive clashes had erupted in the area between youth and Forces in which one youth was hit with a tear smoke shell on his head, he has been shifted to Srinagar for specialised treatment. Meanwhile a CASO is also going on at Harmain area of South Kashmir's Shopian District.

CASO Ends in Tral, Nothing Found

July 23 The Cordon and Search Operation launched by Government Forces in Rathsuna area of Tral of South Kashmir's Pulwama District has ended just now. Officials Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the CASO that had been launched by 42 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police has been called off after nothing was found in the area. After conducting a door to door search operation, nothing was found in the area. Meanwhile a CASO is also going on at Khudwani area of South Kashmir's Kulgam District.

Woman Dies in a Tractor Accident in Pulwama

July 23 A woman died identified as Jawahira Akhtar of Mangalpora Pulwama in South Kashmir died late night on Sunday when a tractor skidded off the road and fell down into a Nallah. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that the driver of the tractor she was travelling in lost control of the vehicle and resulted into the death of the lady and at least eight others were injured. July 23 Aerial firing was used upon protesters in Khudwani area of South Kashmir's Kulgam District on Monday afternoon. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that massive stone throwing clashes erupted after forces launched a CASO in the wani Mohalla area of Khudwani. Hundreds of youth hit the streets shouting pro Freedom and Pro Islam slogans throwing stones on troopers near the encounter site of Sunday where three Militants had been killed.
