Massive Clashes Erupt in Pulwama

August 03 Massive clashes erupted in Pulwama town over the rumour of the killing of a local Militant in Sopore's Dursoo Bahrampora early morning on Friday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that hundreds of youth hit the streets as soon as the news of the Local B.tech student who had joined Militants two days back spread in the area. The youth shouting pro Freedom slogans hurled stones on the Government Forces deployed in the area who retaliated with tear smoke shelling. Rumours have spread that the BTech student Khurshid Ahmad Malik son of Gh Nabi Malik resident of Arbal village of Pulwama who had gone missing a few days ago has been killed in the gunfight. However officials are yet to confirm anything in this regard.

Engineering Student Goes Missing in Pulwama, May Have joined Militants

August 02 An Engineering student has gone missing from his home in Arabal Nikas in South Kashmir's Pulwama District since Tuesday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that youth identified as Khursheed Ahmed Malik son of Ghulam Nabi Malik left home early morning on Tuesday and since then there has been no trace of him. The family issued a video immediately urging their son to return home asking Khursheed to consider the ill health of his mother adding that if Khursheed is with anyone, they should let him go home on humanitarian basis. Nocturnal Raids Continue in South Kashmir-2 More Arrested

August 01 Two Youth were arrested by Government Forces during a nocturnal raid at Seer in Tral division of South Kashmir's Pulwama District. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that two youth identified as Imtiyaz Ahmed wani and Peer Mushtaq were arrested when Government Forces raided the Seer locality late night on Tuesday. The Forces detained the youth and told the locals that they were being detained for questioning. The Locals said that the youth have not been released as of yet.

The 55 RR Of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police jointly launched the operation, Officials told The Kashmiriyat. Locals said that huge contingents of troops are conducting a search operation in the area. The search operation has been launched following a specific input about the presence of Militants in the area, Officials said.

Slain CRPF Man from Pulwama was Sole Bread earner of his family

July 31 Naseer Ahmed Rather son of wali Mohammad Rather resident of Naira village of Pulwama district who was killed by unknown gunmen on Sunday evening near his house was lone bread earner of his family. Naseer who was posted with CRPF 182 bn in Pulwama, was transfered to Sanath Nagar and was about to join there after two days. A group of four unknown gunmen barged into our house and asked Naseer to come out with us however within few minutes he was fired upon, one of his family member told The Kashmiriyat. July 29 A CRPF man was fired at by suspected Militants in Naira area of Tahab in South Kashmir's Pulwama District late night on Sunday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a CRPF man identified as Naseer Ahmad who was on a leave was shot at and injured by unknown persons at his native Naira area. July 28 Suspected Militants who had abducted Special Police Officer Shakeel Ahmed Lone at his residence in Chan Kitar area of Tral late night on Friday has reached home just now. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Militants have released Shakeel who has reached home safely after his family had issued a video in the day requesting Militants to set him free. In the video, the family members had invoked God and asked Militants to Forgive Shakeel who was the brother to three sisters.
