At least 4 CRPF men Injured in Grenade Attack at Pulwama

July 28 Unidentified persons hurled a grenade on a CRPF patrol party in Jawbehra in Awantipora area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District on Saturday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that unknown persons hurled a grenade on CRPF men near the camp of 130 Battalion of CRPF in the Awantipora area. As per initial reports four CRPF men have been injured in the attack who have been shifted to the hospital, the condition of one of them is stated to be critical. Details Emerging.

Forces Launch CASO in Pulwama, Intense Stone Pelting Begins

July 28 Massive Clashes erupted during a CASO launched in Bellow area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District. The Government forces laid down a Cordon and search operation in area Bellow area  on Saturday afternoon. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 55 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF laid down the Search operation jointly. "The Operation was launched after troopers received a specific input about Militant movement in the area," Sources said. Hundreds of youth hit the streets when the Anti Militancy operation was launched and threw stones on troops amid intense pro Freedom sloganeering. Meanwhile A Door to door search operation has been launched in the area. The clashes were going on when this report was filed.

Pulwama MBA Pass out has Likely Joined Militancy

July 28 A youth namely Ishfaq Ahmad wani son of late Mohammad yousuf wani resident of Koil village of Pulwama district is missing from last seven days and his family is afraid that he might have joined militant ranks. Ishfaq an MBA pass out from Baba Gulam shah Badshah university Rajouri has left his home on 20th of this month and since then he is untraceable,  one of his family member told The Kashmiriyat. "Ishfaq has told us that he was going to take part in examination at Baba Gulam shah Badshah university in Rajouri before leaving home," the  family member added. CASO Launched in 5 Villages of Pulwama

July  27 A Cordon and Search operation has been launched at five villages of South kashmir's Pulwama District on Friday afternoon. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 55 RR of Indian, Army and Jammu Kashmir police jointly launched the cordon and search operation in the Puchal, Ratnipora, Wandhakpora, Hanjipora and Gulbagh areas. Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces have launched a CASO  in the area. A Local told The Kashmiriyat that the search operation is still going on as hundreds of troopers are conducting a door to door search operation. Details emerging.  

IED Detected in Tral Area

July 26 The Government Forces today claimed to have averted a major tragedy after they detected an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by militants in Handoora area of the Tral in South Kashmir. Officials said that the IED was planted on Handoora to Tral road and Bomb Defusal Squad of Jammu Kashmir Police, Army and CRPF is on job to defuse the IED. Details Emerging.

July 25 Unidentified persons on Wednesday hurled a grenade on a CRPF Camp in Pulwama District of South Kashmir. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that unknown persons hurled a grenade inside the camp of 183 Battalion of CRPF. As per initial reports nobody was injured in the attack, a search operation was immediately launched to nab the attackers. Details Emerging.

CASO Ends in Tral, Nothing Found

July 23 The Cordon and Search Operation launched by Government Forces in Rathsuna area of Tral of South Kashmir's Pulwama District has ended just now. Officials Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the CASO that had been launched by 42 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police has been called off after nothing was found in the area. After conducting a door to door search operation, nothing was found in the area. Meanwhile a CASO is also going on at Khudwani area of South Kashmir's Kulgam District.

Woman Dies in a Tractor Accident in Pulwama

July 23 A woman died identified as Jawahira Akhtar of Mangalpora Pulwama in South Kashmir died late night on Sunday when a tractor skidded off the road and fell down into a Nallah. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that the driver of the tractor she was travelling in lost control of the vehicle and resulted into the death of the lady and at least eight others were injured. Militants Attack House of BJP Leader in Pulwama

July 22 Militants on Sunday night fired at the house of BJP leader Gulzar Ahmed Nengroo in prichoo area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Militants fired a few shots at the Police post guarding the house of the BJP leader in Pulwama area. However the alert guard fired a few shots in the air and retaliated the attack, Militants later escaped from the spot. As per initial reports, nobody has been injured in the attack.
