CASO Launched in Arihal Pulwama, Clashes Erupt

June 29 Massive Clashes erupted in the Arihal area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District on Friday afternoon after Government Forces launched a cordon and Search Operation in the operation in the area. A Cordon and Search Operation had been launched in South Kashmir by Government forces including 55 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police. As Soon as the forces entered the area, the youth hit the streets in large numbers to which the forces responded by immense tear smoke shelling. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat said that the operation has been launched after an input was received about Militant presence in the area. The Search operation was going on as the entry and exit points have been sealed the Arihal area. Details Emerging.

June 28 The Government Forces following an input about Militant movement in the Hajin area of Pulwama have launched a cordon and Search Operation in the area. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 55RR of Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir police have launched a massive search operation in the area near Hajin. A Door to door search operation has been initiated in the area after all the entry and exit points were sealed. Details Emerging.

Grenade Attack in Pulwama

June 27 A Grenade was lobbed on Police station in South Kashmir's Pulwama on Wednesday night. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that unidentified persons hurled a grenade on the POlice station. However nobody was injured in the attack, as per initial reports. The Forces present inside the police station fired aerial shots creating panic in the area, Locals told The Kashmiriyat. Another cop joined militant ranks, Third this year from South Kashmir

June 27 A Special police officer namely Irfan Ahmed Dar resident of Nehama area of Pulwama who decamped with Ak 47 from Police station Pampore in South Kashmir where he was posted has joined militant ranks. He was not found at police station since yesterday evening at police station Pampore after which manhunt was launched in the area to trace the cop. However in a tele-statement to a news agency, the Hizb ul Mujahideen has confirmed that cop has joined them. This is third incident this year that a cop has joined ranks. Gunshots Heard During CASO in Puwlama Area

June 27 Gunshots were heard during cordon and search operation in Bellow village of South kashmir's Pulwama district. Sources said soon after government forces cordoned off the area few gunshots were heard  created panic in the area. Earlier government including RR and Police cordoned off the area after receiving specific inputs about the presence militants in the area. Search operation was going  on when this report  was filed. Pertinently this is the same village where during night two SPO's were reportedly thrashed and asked to resign from the job. Details Emerging

Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that thousands of people participated in last rites at his native Talangam in South kaahmir's Pulwama district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 50 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF laid down the Search operation jointly.
