October 29 Suspected Militants hurled a grenade at the guard post of an EX MLA at Zawoora area in South Kashmir's Shopian late night on Monday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Suspected Militants hurled a Grenade on the residence of Ex MLA in Shopian's Zawoora area which exploded near the gate of the house. However no injury was reported from the incident, the area is being cordoned off. Details Emerging.

Forces Ransack the House of Active Militant Naveed Babu in Shopian

October 29 The Government Forces late night on Sunday vandalized the property of top hizb commander Naveed Shah alias babu in Nazimpora area of South Kashmir's shopian district. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that the Government forces launched a Cordon and search operation in many villages including Nazimpora native village of Naveed Babu, however when they found nothing they thrashed several locals as well as damaged windowpanes of newly constructed house of Naveed. This is not the first time when forces have ransacked the property of the Hizb militant Naveed but many times they did it in past also. October 28 A Massive Cordon and Search has been launched in the Batpora area of Keller in South Kashmir's Shopian District on Sunday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the Forces including 44 Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army, SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF blocked all the entry and exit points to the Batpora area. A massive cordon and search operation was launched by forces following a specific input about Militant presence in the area. October 27 Militants on Saturday evening attacked the District Police Lines (DPL) in Shopian District of South Kashmir Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Suspected Militants opened fire on Jammu Kashmir Policemen near DPL Shopian, however nobody was injured in the attack. The Policemen retaliated with firing, however the attackers successfully escaped from the spot. An official confirmed the attack and said that a search operation has been launched to nab the attackers. Details awaited.

At least 25 Injured in Shopian Clashes as CASO Continues for 8th Hour

October 27 At least 25 unarmed civilians have been injured in the ongoing clashes with government forces during a cordon and search operation at Dreed-Kalipora (DK Pora) area in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday. October 25 A complete shutdown in being observed across South Kashmir for the fifth consecutive day on Thursday against the ongoing killing spree in the Kashmir Valley. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that Pulwama, Islamabad (Anantnag), Kulgam and Shopian have shut for the fifth consecutive day to mourn the killings of civilians and Militants. Seven Civilians and three Militants were killed on Sunday in the laroo area of South Kashmir's Kulgam District after which a spontaneous shutdown was observed in the area. On Wednesday two more Militants including Sabzar Ahmed Sofi, popular Hizb Militant was killed in a gunfight in Srinagar.
