October 05 Amid growing Anti Militancy Operations and encounters, two more youth from South Kashmir district of Shopian have joined the Militant ranks. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Rayees Ahmed Khan son of Abdul Aziz Ghulam Mohammed Khan , a resident of area Wichal  area in Shopian District has joined Militant outfit Hizb ul Mujahideen. The photo of this under graduate youth with a gun has gone viral over the social networking. October 04 Ahead of the urban Local body and Panchayat Polls, at least 40 youth have been picked from the Shopian District of South Kashmir. Locals from the area while speaking to The Kashmiriyat said the the Forces have been conducting nocturnal raids and as many as fourty youth have been picked up from various Shopian areas during this raids. Locals from Heff Shermal area of Shopian which is the native of Slain Hizb commander said that at least six youth including Nisar Ahmed Padder, Showkat Ahmed Lone, Sameer Ahmed Malla, Shiraz Ahmed Teeli, Gazi Mushtaq have been picked up during nocturnal raids. October 01 A special Police officer of Jammu Kashmir Police who decamped with eight weapons late night on Friday from Guard room at J 11 at Government Quarters Jawar Nagar area in Srinagar has posed for a photograph with Militants. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the cop identified as Adil Bashir who was posted as PSO (personal security official) of PDP MLA Wachi and ran away with seven rifles of cops late night on Friday has joined the Militant outfit Hizb ul Mujahideen. The said cop who ran away with 7 Ak 47 and 1 Pistol was deployed for the security of MLA of Shopian South Kashmir. Adil Bashir is a resident of Zainapora in Shopian area of South Kashmir. His gun wielding photograph with top Militant commander Zeenat ul Islam has appeared on the internet.

September 30 Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Nolay Poshwara area of South Kashmir's Shopian District. On Sunday morning, the forces including 44 RR of Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the area. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Bandipora locality and are conducting a search operation in the area. September 30 A policeman was killed early morning on Sunday when Militants attacked police station Shopian town of South Kashmir. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that unknown  gunmen opened indiscriminate fire on Police station Shopian resulting in injuries to a cop. A police officer said that militants hurled a grenade followed by firing on the police station. The cop sustained serious injuries in the incident and was taken to nearby hospital where he succumbed. He has been  identified Sakif Mohi Din of Zawoora, his service rifle was also snatches by the militants.

September 29 The Government Forces on Wednesday  launched a cordon and search operation in the Amurbugh area of South Kashmir's Shopian  District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Saturday, the forces including 44 RR of Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the area. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Shopian locality and are conducting a search operation in the area. The SPO has been identified as Adil Bashir, who is the resident of Zainapora in Shopian area of South Kashmir. A high alert has been sounded across the area and a search operation has been launched to nab him, an official told The Kashmiriyat.
