August 03 Mobile Internet Services have been snapped in the Shopian District of South Kashmir following an encounter that raged in Kiloora area of the same district. Telecom officials told The Kashmiriyat that they have received orders to snap internet services in the district as a preventive measure. Meanwhile reports suggest that a local Militant Umer Malik of Malikgund Shopian has been killed in the gunfight.

August 03 Intense clashes between protesters and government forces erupted near gunfight site in Kiloora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district where a gunfight between militants and forces is underway. Gunfight is on as two Militants are believed to be trapped in the area, official sources told The Kashmiriyat. A Local told The Kashmiriyat that Hundreds of protesters assembled and pelted stones on forces who retaliated with tear smoke shelling and pellet firing at near the encounter site Announcements are being made on loudspeakers in the mosques asking others to come out and help the trapped Militants escape, a local told The Kashmiriyat. People in large numbers from adjacent areas are marching towards the encounter site.

August 03 An Islamic cleric has been arrested from his home in Shalipora area of South Kashmir's Kulgam District on last friday. Identified as Hafiz Tahir Ahmed resident of Shalipora Kulgam was arrested after leading the funeral prayers of his Militant cousin, Mudasir Ahmed on 22 July 2018. His father, Mohammed Ayoub Dar speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that Tahir was arrested during a raid by Government Forces on last Friday and they charged him with leading the funeral of his cousin. July 31 Suspected Militants hurled a Grenade on Chillipora camp of 44RR of Indian Army on Tuesday Night. July 29 The Government forces laid down a Cordon and search operation in area Daramdora Keegam of South Kashmir's Shopian District on Sunday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 44RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF laid down the Search operation jointly. "The Operation was launched after troopers received a specific input about Militant movement in the area," Sources said. A Door to door search operation has been launched in the area. July 27 Brother of Slain Militant Nisar Ahmed Wani who had escaped from the Police custody has been arrested again on Friday in Shopian District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Nisar Ahmed Wani was arrested by Jammu Kashmir Police in Shopian of South Kashmir. Suhail Ahmad Wani of Heff Shopian who was apprehended by SOG Zainpora on July 15, 2018, and escaped from their custody on July 25, 2018 was rearrested on Friday afternoon.

July  27 A Cordon and Search operation has been launched at Vedipora in keegam area of South Kashmir's Shopian District on Friday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 44 RR of Indian, Army and Jammu Kashmir police jointly launched the cordon and search operation in the locality. Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces have launched a CASO  in the area. A Local told The Kashmiriyat that the search operation is still going on as hundreds of troopers are conducting a door to door search operation. Earlier a cordon and Search operation was launched in 5 villages of Pulwama District, the CASO is underway.
