Militants Attack Army Party in Shopian

June 29 Militants early morning on Thursday attacked a party of 44 RR in Ahagam area of South Kashmir's Shopian District. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that 44 RR of Indian Army was fired upon by suspected Militants near the Army goodwill schools in the area. The Forces have launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the area to nab the attackers. As per initial reports nobody has been injured in the attack. No Encounter has been reported from the area as of yet as told by many news providers. Details Emerging.

June 27 The Government Forces following an input about Militant movement in the Mantribugh area of Shopian have launched a cordon and Search Operation in the area. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 34RR of Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir police have launched a massive search operation in Nanga check near Mantribugh. Army Huts Set Ablaze in Shopian

March 30 Unknown persons on Thursday night set ablaze several seasonal huts belong to army at Doubjan area along the Mughal road in south Kashmir’s Shopian district. Official sources said that the unknown persons suspected to be militants set on fire three to five seasonal huts of army’s 44 RR at Doubjan area. A police officer said that a report has been received about a fire incident in the area and immediately fire tenders were rushed to the site to douse off the flames. Asked about reports of seasonal huts gutted in the fire, the officer said that police are verifying the details. The seasonal huts are being used by the army during summer (April to November), sources said.
