Salman Shah The Covid 19 infection is showing a massive upsurge in Jammu Kashmir, despite the authorities taking full-fledged measures to stop its furthering. On Tuesday, nine deaths have been reported from Jammu Kashmir, eight in the valley and one in Jammu region. Hospital officials told The Kashmiriyat that nine more people, who had been tested positive for the coronavirus pandemic died of the virus, mounting the death toll to 337. 489 persons including 69 troopers have been tested positive on Tuesday. These include Srinagar reported 138 cases, Baramulla 30, Kulgam 7, Shopian 21, Anantnag 4, Kupwara 28, Pulwama 39, Budgam 32, Bandipora 23, Ganderbal 33, Jammu 43, Kathua 19, Rajouri 23, Udhampur 8, Ramban 23, Samba 6 and Doda 2. Government Forces No More need NOC for Acquisition/ Requisition of Land in Jammu Kashmir

The Jammu Kashmir administration has withdrawn a 49-year- old directive under which acquisition/requisition of land by Army and paramilitary forces required no objection certificate(NoC) from its Home department. According to Kashmir News Observer, a Local News Agency, The government had come up with a circular in 1971 under which acquisition of land by Army, CRPF, BSF and other similar agencies required NoC from Home department. Hospital officials told The Kashmiriyat that five more people, all from the Kashmir valley who had been tested positive for the coronavirus pandemic died of the virus, mounting the death toll to 296. 718 persons were tested positive for the novel coronavirus  infections taking the count to 15711. Consequently, the identified areas where the new Industrial Estates are being proposed to be established, will witness a boost in the local economy, generation of employment opportunities and overall development of the area. A 65-year-old man from Tarigam area of South Kashmir's Kulgam district has died due to Novel Coronavirus at SKIMS, thus taking the death toll due to the virus in Jammu and Kashmir to 112, officials said on Thursday. Professor Farooq Jan, Medical Superintendent, SKIMS said that a 65-year-old man from Tarigam village of Kulgam, who was referred to SKIMS on June 23 from GMC Anantnag, died at the SKIMS at around 2:30 PM. He said the patient was referred to SKIMS in view of Community Acquired Pneumonia (CAP) with ARDS. Three more Covid-19 positive patients died in Kashmir, taking the number of fatalities due to the disease in Jammu and Kashmir to 104, officials said on Wednesday. Two deaths were reported from CD Hospital while one from SKIMS Soura Hospital, the two patients who died at CD hospital include 75-year-old man from Sopore and 80-year-old man from Bibehara area of Islamabad (Anantnag) district, the officials said. According to officials, both patients were suffering from bilateral pneumonia besides respiratory diseases and other ailments and both were admitted to the hospital on June 24.
