CBJ books daily rated work of Forest department for arranging job fraudulently

Crime Branch Jammu (CBJ) on Monday said that it booked daily rated worker of Forest Division Kishtwar for arranging his job fraudulently.

“Crime Branch Jammu registered a criminal case against Shamsher Singh, son of Charan Dass of Tata Pani Paddar, District Kishtwar and others under the relevant sections of law for his involvement in managing government job as a daily rated worker in Forest Division Kishtwar by way of production of fake School leaving cum date of birth Certificate,” a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said.

CBJ said that the case owes its origin to a written communication received in Crime Branch Jammu from the Chief Conservator of Forests, Jammu along with the allied documents of Conservator of Forests Chenab Circle Doda regarding a complaint filed by the complainant – Bodh Raj, son of Late Sham Lal of Tatapani, Paddar District Kishtwar wherein it is alleged that the suspect had managed his School Leaving Certificates from two different Schools Viz. Govt. Girls Primary School Tata Pani and Govt. High School Paddar, depicting two different dates of birth of the suspect as 06-08-1955 and 12-08-1960 respectively.

“The suspect fraudulently managed his engagement as daily wager in Forest Division Kishtwar which amounts to crime of cheating with the department. The matter was also got enquired into through a committee constituted by Divisional Forest Officer Kishtwar which substantiated the allegations levelled against the suspect.”

The accused in connivance with others has intentionally and deliberately prepared fake and forged School Leaving Certificates for taking illegal benefit, thereby causing wrongful loss to Govt. Exchequer and wrongful gain to himself, the statement said.

“The omissions and commissions on the part of the suspect Shamsher Singh, son of Charan Dass and others prima facie constitute offences punishable u/s 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120-B RPC. Accordingly, a formal case is registered in P/S Crime Branch, for in-depth investigation.”—(KNO)
