Ceiling collapses during Ijtima in Langate; Several women injured

Several women sustained minor injuries on Sunday after the ceiling of the upper floor of a residential house collapsed in Pohru area of Langate.

An official said that the mishap occurred when a slab of the house, where a deeni ijtimah was being held, suddenly gave way.

The collapse left multiple women attending the gathering injured, the official said.

All the injured were shifted to GMC Handwara for treatment, officials said that all injuries are minor. (KNC)
