The Government Medical College (GMC) of Jammu has initiated action against several students after Sunday night’s clash over the controversial Hindi film ‘The Kerala Story’.
The principal of GMC said that disciplinary action has been initiated against the students who were found involved in yesterday’s clashes.
Earlier, Kashmiri students speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that some outsiders had barged into the campus with a group and assaulted students, a claim accepted by the Principal.
“We have lodged an F.I.R. against some former students of the campus who had barged inside the campus and created ruckus over here. The police will take action against that person,” she said.
She said that the issue has been resolved cordially and students have returned to their classes. “However, the students will have to face a disciplinary committee action,” she said.
Earlier, students protested after three of them were injured during clashes that erupted over an objection to a controversial post about the Bollywood film ‘The Kerala story.’
