Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Muran area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama District.
Early morning on Thursday, the forces including 55 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Muran area.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Pulwama locality and are conducting a search operation in the area.
Youth in large numbers hit the streets as soon as troops launched a joint operation, Shouting Pro Freedom and Pro Militancy slogans, the youth hit the streets throwing stones on Government Forces.
The troops fired tear smoke shells to disperse the protesting youth Locals told The Kashmiriyat, adding that six youth from the area have been arrested.
