Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces have launched a cordon and search operation in the Lal Chowk area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anannag) town.
On Wednesday, the forces including 1 RR of Indian Army reached this township locality and are conducting a search operation in the area.
Youth in large numbers hit the streets as soon as troops launched a joint operation, Shouting Pro Independence and Pro Militancy slogans, the youth hit the streets throwing stones on Government Forces.
The troops fired tear smoke shells to disperse the protesting, locals told The Kashmiriyat.
