Clashes Erupt in Pulwama After Students Injured in an Explosion

Clashes have erupted in Kakapora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday after 19 students were injured following a mysterious blast inside a school.

As per reports policemen arrived in Narbal village soon after the blast inside a school left 17 students injured.

However, youth threw  stones on police as they were heading towards the school.

The policemen in return resorted to tear gas shelling to disperse the protesters, triggering further clashes.

The injured students were shifted to PHC Kakapora and district hospital Pulwama for treatment. Some injured were shifted to Srinagar for specialised treatment.

A Police official said that they are ascertaining the nature and circumstances of the blast. (With Inputs from The Kashmir Walla)
