Protests erupted in Government Degree College Sopore on Tuesday after the students early morning held a sit in to protest the killing of Zakir Musa on Friday.
A Student while speaking to The Kashmiriyat said students in large numbers holding placards and shouting pro Freedom slogans demanded an end to the ongoing killing spree in Kashmir.
The forces deployed in the townhsip outside the college did not allow the students to move ahead, which triggered clashes.
The forces fired tear smoke shells against the protesters to disperse them, however the clashes were going on when this report was filed.
