Corruption case: Admin suspends Principal, Asst. Professor GDC Pattan

The administration suspended and attached the Principal and Assistant Professor of Govt. GDC after they were arrested by Anti Corruption Bureau in a corruption case.

According to a Government order, a copy of which lies with The Kashmiriyat, vide no. 56-JK(HE) of 2023 issued by the higher education department, “Pending enquiry into the conduct of Mr.Tariq Ahmad Principal, GDC Pattan, and Mr. Imtiyaz Gul Khan, Assistant Professor, GDC Pattan is deemed to have been suspended in terms of section 31 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956 from the date of their arrest i.e.
14-02-2023.

The order further reads as “during the period of their suspension Mr.Tariq Ahmad Principal, GDC Pattan and Mr. Imtiyaz Gul Khan, Assistant Professor, GDC Pattan shall remain attached in the office of Director Colleges, J&K.”

Pertinently, these two officers were arrested by the Anti Corruption Bureau team after they were caught red handed demanding and accepting bribe.
