Covid 19- 42 CRPF Men Among 353 test Positive in Jammu Kashmir- Full Report

The Covid 19 infection is showing a massive upsurge in Jammu Kashmir, despite the authorities taking full-fledged measures to stop its furthering has claimed eight more lives in Jammu Kashmir on Friday till evening.

Hospital officials told The Kashmiriyat that five more people, all from the Kashmir valley who had been tested positive for the coronavirus pandemic died of the virus, mounting the death toll to 296.

718 persons were tested positive for the novel coronavirus  infections taking the count to 15711. These include 40 persons from Srinagar Baramulla 2, Kulgam 83, Shopian 59, Pulwama 4, Bandipora 36, Jammu 45, Kathua 29, Rajouri 7, Udhampur 4, Ramban 24, Samba 13, Poonch 2, Kishtwar 4 and Reasi 1.

Detailing about the details an official told The Kashmiriyat that the deaths include a 75-year-old man from Saderbal Srinagar, a 65-year-old man from Maharaj Gunj Srinagar, a 65-year-old woman from Malaknag Anantnag, a 58-year-old IRP Sub Inspector from Jammu, a 68-year-old woman from Sopore, a 70-year-old male from Rainawari Srinagar, a 75-year-old Lady from Peerbagh Srinagar and a 60-year-old male patient from Khanyar Srinagar

275 people in Kashmir and 21 in Jammu have died so far due to the covid-19, an official posted at SKIMS told The Kashmiriyat.

The Administration led by Lieutenant Governor has appealed the general public to follow the norms to fight the novel pandemic, Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu also asked people to maintain physical distancing and wear masks.

Meanwhile, the cases continue to see a spike and the current tally is at 16,782 positive cases, 7269 cases are active, while 9217 persons have been recovered so far

The number of positive cases in India have crossed 12.9 Lakhs, while the death toll has reached 30,601, 45,720 persons have been tested positive for the infection in the last 24 hours in India. Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Gujarat have reported the highest number of cases.

As per John Hopkins, Globally more than 15750745 cases have been reported while as the death toll has reached 6,38,295.
