The Global pandemic covid 19, despite the authorities taking full-fledged measures to stop its furthering has claimed twelve lives in Jammu Kashmir on Tuesday till evening.
Hospital officials told The Kashmiriyat that more people, all from the Kashmir valley who had been tested positive for the coronavirus pandemic died of the virus, mounting the death toll to 268.
A total of 608 persons which includes 87 travelers valley were tested positive for Covid 19 in Jammu Kashmir.
213 persons were tested positive in Srinagar, 28 in Baramulla, 39 in Kulgam, Shopian 03, Anantnag 26, Kupwara 47, Pulwama has 43 cases, Budgam 83, Ganderbal 6, Doda 7, Poonch 2, Kishtwar 0, Reasi 08.
Regarding the deaths, officials posted at SKIMS said that the deaths include a 70-year-old woman from Lalbazar Srinagar, 96-year-old man from Pattan Baramulla, 43-year-old man from Parigam Pulwama, 50-year-old from Mirbazar Kulgam, Man from Parraypora baghat barzulla area of Srinagar, 54-years-old man from Fateh kadal area of Srinagar, 64-years-old female from Dangerpora Sopore area of Baramulla, 60-year-old Man from central Kashmir’s Budgam, 65-year-old from sangrama, 85-year-old from Sopore, 74-year-old male from Rawalpora area of Srinagar and 85-year-old male from Papcha area of Bandipora
248 people in Kashmir and 20 in Jammu have died so far due to the covid-19, an official posted at SKIMS told The Kashmiriyat. 520 people over all in the Kashmir valley have been tested positive.
The Administration led by Lieutenant Governor has appealed the general public to follow the norms to fight the novel pandemic, Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu also asked people to maintain physical distancing and wear masks.
Meanwhile, the cases continue to see a spike and the current tally is at 15258 positive cases, 6520 are Active Positive and 8455 persons have recovered.
The number of positive cases in India have crossed 11.6 Lakhs, while the death toll has reached 28, 084, 40,425 persons have been tested positive for the infection in the last 24 hours in India. Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Gujarat have reported the highest number of cases.
As per John Hopkins, Globally more than 6,10,000 people have died so far due to corona virus with USA having the maximum number of deaths.
