Covid 19- 67 Travelers Among 540 Test Positive- Death Toll is 348- Daily Report

The Covid 19 infection is showing a massive upsurge in Jammu Kashmir, despite the authorities taking full-fledged measures to stop its furthering. On Wednesday eleven, deaths have been reported from Jammu Kashmir.

Hospital officials told The Kashmiriyat that nine more people, who had been tested positive for the coronavirus pandemic died of the virus, mounting the death toll to 348.

523 people were tested positive for the novel coronavirus infections taking the count to 19419. These include 203 cases from Srinagar, Baramulla 20, Kulgam 15, Shopian 4, Anantnag 26, Kupwara 3, Pulwama 67, Budgam 45, Bandipora 3, Ganderbal 3, Jammu 49, Kathua 17, Rajouri 33, Udhampur 10, Ramban 8, Samba 12, Poonch 5, Kishtwar 5 and Doda 6.Kishtwar 10 and Reasi 2.

Eleven more deaths have been reported in the past twenty four hours, that include a a 65-year-old woman, a resident of Mattan in Anantnag, a 75-year-old COVID-19 positive man, a resident of Wazirbagh in Srinagar, a 52-year-old woman from Budgam, a 79-year-old man, a resident of Talab Tillo, Hospital officials told The Kashmiriyat adding, “a 50-year-old man, a resident of Pahalgam in Anantnag, a 62-year-old man from Zainakadal, a 60-year-old woman, a resident of Rainawari in Srinagar, 70-year-old man, a resident of Sumbal in Bandipora. They said seven more people — including two from Srinagar, three from Baramulla, one each from Anantnag and Bandipora lost their lives due to the virus on Wednesday.

In Kashmir, Srinagar tops the list with 4476 cases followed by Baramulla with 1835, Kulgam 1491, Shopian 1416, Anantnag 1258, Pulwama 1363, Kupwara 1069, Budgam 1228, Bandipora 678, and Ganderbal 387.

In Jammu division, Jammu district has 989 cases, Rajouri 633, Ramban 533, Kathua 511, Udhampur 427, Samba 404, Doda 265, Poonch 197, Kishtwar 134 and Reasi 125 .

The Administration led by Lieutenant Governor has appealed the general public to follow the norms to fight the novel pandemic, Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu also asked people to maintain physical distancing and wear masks.

Meanwhile, the cases continue to see a spike and the current tally is at 19,419 positive cases, 7749 cases are active, while 11,322 persons have been recovered so far.

The number of positive cases in India has crossed 15.3 Lakhs, while the death toll has reached 34,913. More than 47,000 people have been tested positive for the infection in the last 24 hours in India. Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Gujarat have reported the highest number of cases.

As per John Hopkins, Globally more than 1,69,57,762 cases have been reported while as the death toll has reached 6,64,638.
