
The Jammu Kashmir administration has issued some new guidelines related to the epidemic. As per the guidelines, all educational institutions will remain closed till 31 December. With this, no new permission or pass will be required for those activities which were already allowed in the region.
An order issued by BVR Subrahmanyam, chief secretary and chairman of the state executive committee, said, “All schools, colleges, higher educational institutions (including Anganwadi), except the training institutes run by the central and state government, will remain closed till December 31.”
The order was issued after reviewing the coronavirus situation in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. The order further states that according to the SOP issued by the Union Ministry of Education, coaching centers, institutes will be allowed to run classes only outside the containment zone and that too only the center should have 50 percent attendance.
It also states that 50 percent of teaching and non-teaching staff can be called to schools for online classes or tele-counseling in areas outside the Containment Zone.
