Jammu Kashmir reported a major spike as nearly 6000 persons tested positive for covid-19 in the last 24 hours, while seven deaths have been reported across the region, officials said on Wednesday.
An official speaking to The Kashmiriyat confirmed that 5996 cases were reported in the region in last 24 hours- 1920 of these fresh cases were reported from the Jammu division and 4072 from Kashmir.
1177 patients recovered in Jammu Kashmir on Wednesday- 716 from Jammu Division and 461 from Kashmir Division.
Giving district-wise details of the fresh cases, the officials said that Srinagar reported the highest with 1306, Baramulla 825 Budgam 636, Pulwama 125, Kupwara 137, Anantnag 259 Bandipora 237, Ganderbal 270, Kulgam 243, Shopian 34.
Jammu district reported 1217 cases, Udhampur 200, Rajouri 70, Doda 72, Kathua 105, Samba 86, Kishtwar 47, Poonch 23, Ramban 42 and Reasi reported 58 cases.
