Covid 19- School Shut for 3 Days After Student Tests Positive in Higher Secondary Sirigufwara

The authorities at the Government Higher Secondary School in the Sirigufwara area of Anantnag ordered the closure of the school for three days after a student tested covid positive on Wednesday.

Speaking to The Kashmiriyat the school officials said that 150 students had been tested for the last three days in the school, out of which one has turned out to be covid positive.

“A student of class 10th (name withheld) has turned out to be covid positive,” the official said.

They said that the school was strictly adhering to the covid protocols, but to ensure a complete halt to the further spread of the infection the school has been closed down for three days.

Earlier the authorities in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday ordered closure of three schools for at least three days after some teachers and students were tested positive for Covid-19.
