Residents of Tulran in south Kashmir’s Shopian district have reported that thieves broke into their homes at midnight and stole two cows from two different households.
Farooq Ah Teeli and Nasir Ahmed Teeli were among those whose cows were taken.
A resident, Shakir Ahmad Teeli, whose cow was also stolen, told The Kashmiriyat that around midnight, thieves took his cow while mentioning that it wasn’t just his cow. “I request the concerned Station House Officer (SHO) to investigate the matter and apprehend the thieves as soon as possible,” Teeli said.
The locals have urged the police to take immediate action to recover their stolen cows.
They emphasized the need for prompt intervention to protect other areas, noting, “the thieves were roaming freely during the early hours without any fear.”
