Intense clashes have erupted in Prichoo and Chatapora areas of South Kashmir’s Pulwama District on Sunday evening after a day long curfew was lifted from the Pulwama township.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that hundreds of youth hit the streets of Chatpora and Prichoo streets and hurled stones on Government Forces, who retaliated with immense tear smoke shelling to disperse the protesters.
Shouting Pro Independence and Anti India Slogans, the youth tried to march towards the main town of Pulwama, however the forces deployed in the main town Pulwama fired tear smoke shells and pellets at the youth, triggering clashes.
The Clashes were going on when this report was filed.
