Amid severe disruption to telecom services caused by unprecedented rains and extreme weather across Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh, telecom operator Airtel has rolled out special relief measures to ensure its customers remain connected.
In a statement, the company said prepaid customers whose plans are due to expire this week will automatically receive a three-day extension with unlimited calls and 1GB data per day, even if they are unable to recharge. Postpaid and broadband users will be given a three-day grace period on bill payments to avoid service interruptions.
Additionally, Airtel has enabled Intra-Circle Roaming (ICR) in Jammu, Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh, allowing customers to stay connected through other available networks in case of local outages.
“Our teams are working tirelessly on the ground to restore services at the earliest. Airtel stands with the people of these regions and remains committed to keeping them connected,” an Airtel spokesperson said.
