Days after the video of Mufti Islah, a senior journalist went viral on Social media, The Wildlife Department has captured the leopard sighted in Bagh e Mehtab area of the summer capital of Jammu Kashmir- Srinagar.
Mufti had posted the video on December 29, when Srinagar received a few centimeters of snowfall and the leopard in the video was seen openly roaming inside the civilian houses in the Srinagar area.

The officials of the wildlife department have said that the team that has been “on their-toes” since December 29 has been able to capture the animal from an abandoned house in the same locality.
The Department had issued an advisory asking the locals to not venture out as a leopard had been sighted in the Bagh e Mehtab area, which caused panic among the locals of the area.
The Officials of the Department thanked the public for their cooperation.
