District administration in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district welcomed Kashmiri Pandit devotees travelling to Kheer Bhawani annual festival at Navyug Tunnel Friday.
In a press release, the district information office said that DC Anantnag, Syed Fakhruddin Hamid welcomed the Hindu devotees at Navyug Tunnel.
Syed Fakhruddin Hamid, DC Anantnag said that the administration has geared up to take adequate measures and proper arrangements have been made for the pilgrims at Logripora (Aishmuqam) and Mattan ahead of the Mela.
He said that both these places in District Anantnag expect at least 10,000 pilgrims to visit and do Darshan this year.
Every year, Kheer Bhawani Mela is organized at five locations across Kashmir which includes Tulmul in Ganderbal, Manzgam in Kulgam, Devsar in Kulgam, Logripora in Anantnag and Tikkar in Kupwara.
