DC Islamabad (Anantnag) Makes Surprise Visits Ahead of Snowfall

In order to ensure work culture in government offices & regular  attendance of employees, the Deputy Commissioner of the South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) District Mr. Mohammad Younis Malik on Saturday made surprise visit to various offices in the District.

As per a Press release issued to The Kashmiriyat, he made visits to Tehsildar Office, Qazigund, Verinag Development Authority, Tehsil Office Verinag, Kokernag and Dooru, PHC Municipal Committees of Verinag & Dooru, PHE Sub-Division Verinag, Modal Hospital Dooru to access the availability of basic facilities including drinking water, power supply, Healthcare & sanitation.

During the visit the DC found some officials absent from their duties and directed the concerned officers to initiate immediate action against erring officials.

During the visit to Modal Hospital, Doru the DC, Anantnag took stock of the Medicare facilities available and patients demanded proper functioning of CT scan and other Lab facilities. Similarly, at PHC, Verinag the DC met various patients and Attendants who sought his intervention for availability of doctors particularly Gynecologist.

The DC also visited Power Grid Station at Sagam to take stock of the power supply and directed PDD Engineers to ensure curtailment schedule as the SAC has approved the purchase of additional 100MV to provide relief to the consumers and also stressed for immediate repairs of damaged transformers so that people may not suffer during winter season.
