DC of Islamabad (Anantnag) Reviews Arrangements for 26 January Celebrations

The Deputy Commissioner of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) on Saturday  convened a meeting of the officers at Dak Bunglow Khanabal to review the arrangements for celebration of Indian Republic day.

The DC stressed upon the function to be celebrated with zeal and true patriotic sense. He said that the main function shall be held at Government Degree College (Boys) Khanabal ground, where the Indian tricolor would be unfurled.

In a press release issued to The Kashmiriyat, the office of DC said that the contingents of J&K Police, JKAP, IRP, CRPF, Fire & Emergency Services, Home-guard, NCC & School children shall participate in the March Past.

They further said that Detailed discussions were held regarding venue, stage, security arrangements, sanitation, electricity, drinking water facility, Medicare, seating & heating arrangements, transport and parking facility, barricading, refreshments & illumination of government buildings.

The DC also directed upon all the officers to ensure the presence of their subordinate staff in the main function.

The SSP of Jammu Kashmir Police for the District, Altaf Ahmed Khan stressed that all departments must work in coordination and better synergy.

Among others the meeting was attended by ADDC  Riyaz Ahmad Sofi, Joint Director School Education, Nasir Ahmad Lone, SE R&B, SE Mechanical, Principal GDC Islamabad (Anantnag), CEOs of Development Authorities, ACD, all SDMs, Xens of R&B, PDD, PHE, I&FC, Dy. SP, Representatives from Army, CRPF & other district officers.
