
A DDC member from the Achabal area of Anantnag donated six electric transformers to the people of the Achabal belt in the south Kashmir district.
Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, locals said that due to the lack of electricity, DDC member Sameena Hussain provided transformers to the Telwani, Sansuma, and Bulbul Nowgam areas of Anantnag.
They said that the installation of transformers has brought relief to the local residents who had been suffering due to the shortage of electricity in the area.
Accompanying her during the installation cum inauguration was Jammu Kashmir National Conference senior social media analyst JKNC Hashim Hussain, who said, “It cost us around 6-7 lac on average, it is from DDC funds. We installed 250kv upgradation transformation in Telwani.”
