The body of a youth was fished our from Jhelum river in Lelhar Kakpora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama District on Thursday afternoon.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the youth who had gone for swimming in the river drowned and could not swim back to the shore, His body was later recovered by the locals but not before he had died.
The deceased was identified as Amir Ahmed from Reshipora in Awantipora area of South Kashmir.
Police officials confirmed the death of the youth to The Kashmiriyat.
