Jagadguru Paramhans Acharya Maharaj, based in Ayodhya has demanded that India should be declared a ‘Hindu Rashtra’ by October 2.
He said that if India isn’t declared a Hindu Nation by October 2, he will take a ‘Jal samadhi’ (water mausoleum).
“I demand that India should be declared a ‘Hindu Rashtra’ by October 2 or else I’ll take Jal Samadhi in river Sarayu,” ANI tweeted from its official handle.
He has also demanded that the central government should “terminate the nationality of Muslims and Christians living in India.”

This is not the first time he’s made such demand, reportedly. As per a report by India TV, the said guru had earlier undertaken a 15-day long fast unto death over the issue, only broke his fast after getting assurance from Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
