Unidentified persons late on Monday evening torched a designated polling booth at Keegam in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a polling booth set up at Government Higher Secondary School was set ablaze by unknown persons after which the locals informed the fire and emergency department who doused the flames.
A portion of computer lab of the school was gutted in the fire.
Pertinently during nocturnal raids in the area, immediately after the incident, 21 youth were arrested from the area.
