DH Pora residents in Kulgam aghast over dilapidated condition of roads

The residents of several villages of Damhal Hanjipora belt in Kulgam are suffering due to worst condition of the road.

Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, the residents of Damhal Hanjipora and Adijen and several other adjoining areas said that they are suffering due to bad condition of the road from Pombay to Damhal Hanjin Pora.

They said that the road is in a pathetic condition for a long time but nobody from the administration is taking steps to repair the road.

“Muddy patches and potholes on the road are putting the lives of the people at great risk”, the residents said, adding that during rainfall or snowfall, it becomes almost impossible to commute on the road.

Tariq Ahmed, a local said that people are being forced to commute on the rough road which causes inconvenience to them.

Meanwhile, residents of the area appealed to the LG administration and the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam and other concerned department to macadamize the road on priority basis so that residents may have a sigh of relief.
