
The District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), Mission Shakti Shopian is conducting door to door awareness campaigns in tribal and far-off places of the district under the aegis of Good Governance week.
In this connection, the DHEW staff today visited ST and SC areas of Lashkhur, Naidkhur, Khathaullan and other villages of the district to facilitate women to register for welfare and employment schemes.
During the campaign DHEW team also imparted awareness among women about various women welfare related schemes such as BBBP, women helpline 181, One Stop Centre for Women, PMMVY, Child Helpline No.1098, Poshan Abhiyan, Indira Gandhi National old Age Pension scheme, Pension Scheme for Widows, State Marriage Assistance scheme, ICPS, Skill Development Courses for Women, Loans related schemes etc.
DHEW also noted the grievances of some women and assured them to provide needed assistance with the help of the concerned department.
It is worth mentioning that the teams of the officials are regularly conducting door to door awareness programmes.
