Dialgam Volleyball League – 2020 was organized by the Dialgam camp of 19 Rashtriya Rifles, in which 16 teams from Anantnag district participated.
The teams from Kanganhal, Brenti, Achabal, Shelipora, Imoh, Damhal, Shihan, Pethbugh, Mir Bazaar, Larkipora, Gund Fatehpora participated in the grand Volleyball League.
The final match was played between Brenty and Kanganhal at Larkipora Polytechnic College Ground.
Brenti team showcased an energetic move and won the grand finale of the tournament by 3-2, a press release of the Indian Army said.
On this occasion officiating Commanding Officer Lt Col Manpreet Singh of 19 Rashtriya Rifles was the chief guest along with Block Development Officer Mohd Aasif Malik. Other officials of the Youth Services and Sports department were also present in Grand Finale.
While speaking with media, Lt Col Manpreet Singh told that we have already received lots of requests from youths of areas for organising sports events of these sort.
While organizing this Volleyball league, we got a positive response from all teams, and players were given opportunities and platforms to showcase their hidden talents.
The team players thanked the Indian army for organizing such events which keeps the youth away from drugs and channelizes their energy in a constructive way and appealed for the conduct of more such events.
