The District administration has started a census of Nomads in the entire district Shopian, for registering Nomads in the district, to ensure their basic requirements and educational rights.
The survey teams will reach the residing areas of the Nomads and will facilitate them in every respect by reaching at their door steps.
Chief Planning Officer from District Shopian, Khursheed Ahmed Khatana, has been assigned as the census incharge and has to submit his census report in a couple of months.
The Chief Education Officer from Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmed, has been assigned as District Statistics and the Evaluation Officer of the census.
