District Panchayat Sends Proposal to UP Govt. To Rename Aligarh to ‘Harigarh’

The Aligarh region panchayat has sent a proposal to the Uttar Pradesh government, looking for an adjustment of the name of the city to ‘Harigarh’.

Another proposition to change the name of Firozabad area to Chandra Nagar has been proposed, likewise.

The names of numerous urban areas and rail route stations have been changed in Uttar Pradesh in the course of recent years with Allahabad’s name being changed to Prayagraj being the most eminent of them.

Considerably, prior to this numerous associations had spoke to the UP government requesting that it changes Aligarh’s name.
