District Police Kulgam rescued the minor girl who was kidnapped and arrested the person involved in committing the crime.
Police Station Kulgam on 15.05.2021 received a written complaint about assistance from a complainant stating that his daughter (name withheld) had been kidnapped by one person namely Aadil Akbar Bhat@Rahul S/O Mohd Akbar Bhat R/O Wazeerpora Bogund.
In this connection a Case with FIR No. 84/2021 U/S 363, 109 IPC was registered in Police Station Kulgam, and an investigation was initiated. Accordingly, a team headed by SHO Kulgam Insp. Abdul Ahad under the supervision of I/C DySP HQR Kulgam Shri. Sheikh Tahir Amin-JKPS was constituted to trace out the kidnapped girl and to nab the culprit.
Utilizing all available means, specific information was generated by the investigating team, the said minor girl was rescued within 24 hours after the complaint was received in Police Station Kulgam and the kidnapper was arrested from Shalipora Kulgam.
After fulfilling all medico-legal formalities, the girl will be handed over to her legal heirs and further investigation of the case is in progress.
