The Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan on Tuesday visited Islamabad (Anantnag) and chaired a meeting of officials from civil administration at Dak Bungalow.
Baseer Khan emphasized upon the officers and engineers for improving the public delivery system and to ensure timely completion of developmental projects under various state and centrally sponsored schemes.
The District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Mr. Mohammad Younis Malik informed the meeting about the physical and financial progress achieved under various sectors in the district up to the end of August, 2018.
The DDC also appraised the Div Com about the activities being carried out by district level Task Force Committee under youth outreach programme and said that 300 volunteers have been identified at village level for participation in various sports activities.
“Rs.30 lacs have been provided to sports council for fencing of the Sports Stadium in Islamabad, (Anantnag),” the DDC informed.
The Div Com also directed for activating MET Control Room and also keep available the required equipment at the EOC which has been established at Sarnal to meet any eventuality during disaster like situation.
